Monica Richards
Meet native Houstonian Monica Richards! The Founder & Creative Director behind Mas Flora, a Houston, TX-based floral and event design company built around her belief that flowers have the power to transform not only a space, but the way a moment is experienced and remembered. Inspired by her Mexican and French heritage, a lifelong appreciation for nature, and a love of beautiful environments, Monica approaches floral design with an eye for color, texture, movement, and unexpected detail. Her work blends natural beauty with thoughtful composition, creating designs that feel elevated and distinctive while still retaining the warmth and emotion that first drew her to flowers. For Monica, Mas Flora has always been about more than creating beautiful arrangements. It is about creating an experience. From an intimate floral gift delivered to someone's home to a wedding, private celebration, corporate installation, or bespoke event, she believes every detail should feel intentional, personal, and reflective of the people and occasion it was created for. As both an entrepreneur and creative director, Monica has continued to expand Mas Flora beyond traditional floristry. Today, the company brings together designer floral, weddings and events, floral subscriptions, corporate services, curated gifting, custom installations, and experiential floral design—allowing clients to work with Mas Flora for everything from life's everyday gestures to its most significant celebrations. Her approach is rooted in thoughtful hospitality and an unwavering commitment to quality. Monica works closely with her team to continually refine the Mas Flora experience, from the flowers and vessels selected for a design to its presentation, delivery, and the way a client feels throughout the process. She believes true luxury is found not simply in what something costs, but in the level of care, creativity, and attention given to it. That philosophy continues to guide Mas Flora as it grows: honoring the beauty of flowers, celebrating individuality, and finding new ways to make life's moments feel extraordinary.
